besides - i saw on tmobiles website their testing is complete, how long does it usually take for them to move to OTA release after its been in this state?

No it's not consummate. You must have used the site in the incorrect manner. Click on the Galaxy S6 moving-picture show and you'll see "manufacturer development".

Thanks for the fyi but I don't call up that'd hateful much for most of u.s. here. Different models. Being nether the same company doesn't really enable us to flash a German T-Mobile ROM.

Well for a h2o proof phone.. I tested mine in tap water for 40 mins with Admittedly no issues after pulling information technology out..
It'due south a matter of preference, I like the IR Blaster and I don't demand an SD card, though I would not of gotten this device if information technology did NOT have a 128 gig model..

I am considering taking the swoop and practise a merchandise in, and they are offering me the upgrade for 3 whole dollars with a trade in..
I practise admit I accept a 128 gig Samsung ultrafast SD card then I could easily movement everything to that, but the whole idea of merely a 32 gig model existence offered, even with beingness able to transfer your apps to the SD card, some data does stay with the Internal Storage.. Information technology seems similar they made a trade off between the IR equalizer and the expandable storage.... I have a lot of charging devices that are specific to the GS6 that I would accept to repurchase if I upgraded.... It'due south not enough for me to upgrade, however if I do not see a Marshmallow update by April it will be seriously considered..

I use my IR equalizer on a daily basis, so that may exist the one affair that holds me dorsum, and please do read on the principal Milky way S6 page where everyone is reviewing their new S7.. I run across the advantages equally my GS6 is yet practically new, has not a single scratch on information technology and carries a lot of value.. I'll await 3 more weeks.. Though I really don't care if we get the marshmallow update anyhow.. I'm tired of waiting for something that might not come up at all.. If you call back what happened to the Galaxy S4.. Yes I'one thousand rambling, simply earlier I brand my final choice I want to be well informed.. I'm actually in love with my GS6 128 gig.. But to trade it in for a GS7 Edge.. Information technology might be what I'm looking for..

Battery life on the S7 Edge is awesome. Wifi Calling and VoLTE piece of work without causing battery drain. Camera is better. Marshmallow. Faster.

No IR blaster... The pros outweigh the cons.

I capeesh your opinion, however "to me personally" its not worth it until perhaps the S8 is released.
My bombardment is fine with my personal debloated rom, I have no issues with severe battery drain and I take a portable battery cradle/charger with me on long trips..
my battery has yet to get past 10 percent.. Information technology's all a matter of preference and if you similar the S7, and so get the S7... But similar the S6 it'south gonna exist glitchy equally hell at first, and that sugariness battery life your talking about.. Lets look and encounter until its been tested among the masses.. If they released a 64gig model.. I'd consider it, I was all giddy at showtime well-nigh Marshmallow.. Now I just don't care really..

I'm stopping all posts to this forum since it's simply stirring the pot.. Look at the S7 forums and read what others have said about information technology..
I simply like my S6 and it'due south just personal preference.. I will no longer brand whatever more posts here.. So whatever replies from anyone trolls (Not claiming you are) or not.. Volition be ignored..

It'south not like the S6 at all. I've had information technology for one week. The battery life is neat, the 820 plays better with our network, overall a much improve device. Merely hey, that'southward like, my stance, man. Do what you want. I just thought I'd let you know, since you mentioned information technology wouldn't cost you to upgrade.

I wonder if we'll see 6.0 before Apr. If I were a t-Mobile exec, I would filibuster it as much every bit possible equally a ways to encourage people to upgrade to a S7. I meet people on this thread and others in the international S6 forums making the switch.

Tmobile has done this with Samsung phones with the organisation vibrant. Delay until later on the new gen is out and selling. It was my reason for always upgrading as my upgrades always savage on those dates, and I cared about updates a fiddling more. I still do but not enough to warranty throwing money away each year. I'm speculating that's the reason the v10 hasn't seen an update either, probably to concur off LG g5 sales. Some plausible evidence is that HTC isn't affected by these delays since their argument to update with 90 days. Tmobile has updated both the m9 and m8 already and HTC m10 isn't even announced. Is it upsetting? , sure. Is it enough to warrant spending another 700+ just for an os update? That'south up to each person. I don't exercise much rooting anymore so my visits to xda are just to see if anyone else has more insider info than the non upward to date tmobile update site.

Just read at gsmarena, m8 getting updated with a lg phone update coming too, deceit remeber its model.
Anyways information technology says there that 7 to 22 march will see a lot of updates from the carrier..
Given that most of the preorders for s7 would have been concluded by then, i say we might have a update inside this time catamenia ( but more often than not at its end )..
Hoping for the best.

P.s. merely a question.
Why is the t mob site still says manufactures evolution for our phone?
I have read many times hither by various persons that tmobile is testing the build pregnant they have already recieved thd update from samsung..
Then why withal say that?

The ii phones that were updated this week were the m8 and lg stylo. I haven't seen any news virtually other phones. The tmobile site isn't always updated. Every carrier gets the update from samsung and whatever fourth dimension information technology takes them to cook information technology. Only historically it has seemed that tmobile and other carriers like to wait until the new gen is out which is crap. But they have to worry about their bottom line.

My friend's T-Mobile LG G4 got the MM update a month ago. Maybe T-Mobile doesn't hold back updates on LG and other phones since they sell in small volumes.
